Preparing for Site Visits
A site visit by a Magnet® Appraiser team is an opportunity for your organization to demonstrate and share your clinical evidence of excellence. But it takes preparation to put your best foot forward. We help you prepare for site visits through mock interviews and pre-and post-debriefings conducted with the help of a consultant team of past Magnet® appraisers. Mock site visits can help close any knowledge gaps nurses may have speaking to Magnet information and prepare your hospital for a Magnet® site visit.
We have tools to help prepare your nursing team for Magnet® success. Our custom Magnet® Staff Readiness Pocket Guides and Pocket Cards are developed from your hospital’s Magnet® information to help your team improve their communication, accelerate learning and close knowledge gaps. Both can be used throughout the journey or a few months or weeks before and during your site visit.
Guides provide a quick reference to key Magnet®-specific examples from your organization, department goals, nursing philosophy and other “need to know” information.
